I had gotten that panel out of the remnant bin and cut out all the flowers. It sat in my drawer for years because I could not find fabrics that would all blend together - and then along came Batiks! And I was finally able to pull it all together.

I like quilts that only have around 3 colors but with several different prints and hue of each color? clear as mud?

I'm pretty good at color coordinating but sometimes not so good at visualizing so I lay the pieces of my quilt out and look at them with a design reducing glass. It's a magnifying glass that reduces, rather than enlarges, what you are looking at so you can view the entire quilt layout and spot any weird things going on.

It's a pretty handy little gadget.

Here is a two-fabric quilt that I designed on EQ7 and sewed.

I'm doing a D9P with 3 colors. It really like it. I tried to do a D9P with scraps, but it was too busy for me.

Don't forget the OBW, which can be made with just one fabric.
