fabric search
I have been looking for fabric for a little boy that has the yellow roads on it for a child to run his cars on with no luck. Does anyone know where I might find this fabric. Thank you in advance for any reply. Everyone says to order it but from where? Hope someone knows.

Try the Zip Zoom fabric by Viv Eisner in the Wilmington Prints. I found it here: http://www.fatquartershop.com/zip-zo...laymat-yardage
I've appliqued roads onto patterned fabric in making play mats.

MQ2, cute idea!
Linda, If you can't find the fabric you are looking for, a maze quilt would be easy to do. Kids love to run their cars and ponies over those too.

I made a road/town playmat for my grandson. I used a mottled black (kind of highway looking) fabric and then I put white stripes down the middle with a white satin stitch. Sorry, no photo available. I put the "highway" around a panel of a village with streets & buildings.

Fabrics change all the time, so one with yellow roads may not be available now. Here is what Google turned up in a "playmat fabric" search:
