    Fabric too pretty to cut!

Is it just me, or has anyone else fallen so in love with a fabric line that you're afraid to cut into it and actually use it? I've been collecting a few lines and definitely have enough for a quilt or two - but I just can't bring myself to cut! What if I make mistake? What if I need more of a specific design and can't find it? What if, what if, what if?!? I know it's crazy - because if I love the fabric as it sits in my bookcase, just think of how much I will love it wrapped around me in a quilt! Just need encouragement making that first cut....

I have a beautiful piece of fabric and bought 3 yards. I cut into some of it and decided I didn't like the way it was turning out so I put it away. It isn't a line it's just a beautiful piece about 2 1/2 yards left. Oh Well! DH wants to know when I'm going to open a fabric shop. NOt!!

my problem, I realized, was I hadn't found the perfect pattern yet. so there it sits. Maybe make a pillowcase. I don't know what to tell you, we're all in the same boat. when you figure it, please tell me.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Same for me! Once I find the perfect pattern, I am eager to cut into that beautiful fabric and make the quilt. I have a coordinating set of 4 one-yard pieces just like that right now. They are gorgeous, modern prints and I just have not found the right pattern for them. But I love looking at quilts/patterns for inspiration, and know that one day the perfect one will find me.

I have a print I got to make a quilt "eventually" for DH and had just a yard and wasn't sure what to do. I came across this pattern this weekend to keep the main print in one piece. Plus, it's a quick quilt which is important since I've decided to do it for our anniversary in a month. Since I'm doing it as a surprise it had to be pretty quick to piece, then I'll have to find ways to get him out of the house to quilt it.

What a great pattern to use with a "love it but just can't cut it" fabric! Thanks for finding and posting that.

That's just the pattern I need. Unfortunately I need it in a king size.

Sometimes I cut 1/2 yard to save to look at and then set the remaining fabric aside for that special quilt. That has helped me to use some of that fabulous fabric. Still there's some that I just can't cut.
Make it a scrappy happy day!

Yes, I have some fabric I just look at and like to feel it and keep it. Crazy
