Ok, so I really goofed. I was at the AQS in Knoxville and there was a booth with a woman who had 2 books with purse, tote patterns that she had done. She was offering to autograph them. I figured that I could find them on line someplace. Well I can't. I have used the vendor list that the AQS has posted on their website with no luck. The one book was purses or totes made with something really stiff between the layers of fabric. The other book had fold up totes of all different sizes. They folded up to the size of a wallet and had stiff sides that ended up being the bottom of the tote when they were opened. Does anyone know who this was? Or where I can find the book? Thanks

I believe she was a guest on Sewing with Nancy or on Kay Wood's tv show...you might check their listings of their PBS shows and see if you recognize her name....

Do you have any idea of what isle she was in? I have the layout with names of all the vendors listed by isle and booth number.

I remember seeing wallets in a booth by Karen Comstock.... wwwquiltricks.com could this be the one??

Let's see if I can remember. We started going through the vending area from the end of the room where the food was set up. We split the room in half - the right towards the back of the room, left towards the entrance. I saw it on the right before we got to the "park area" and if I remember correctly it would have been on my right as I was facing the back wall of the room, 3 or 4 rows into the first half. Does that make sense?

I saw her in Paducah also, but I can't help you. Please share the information when you find out her name and the name of the books and contact info. :?

No, that's not her. I did a little drawing. It was definitely on the right of the aisle as I was facing the back wall. There was a center counter top that had copies of her books. And samples of the bags that were made from those patterns. The bags had really stiff sides. the tote bags folded up to about the size of a large wallet, the sides were stiff and when you unfolded them the stiff sides formed the bottom on the tote
