I have an idea for a quilting project using faux suede. Did an internet search of ultra suede and just about fell off my chair at the price of it. Anyone know of a good source? It doesn't have to be the name brand "ultra suede", just a fake washable fabric that I can quilt on that has the look of suede. Am looking for a tan and only need about a yard or so.

Try joanns with a coupon. Its regularly around $12-24 a yard but if you have a coupon for 40 or 50 percent off. They also have different grades in the store. I've used it for purses and can find it in the scrap bin even cheaper. Good luck cant wait to see the quilt!

Ditto what leatheflea said. I've picked it up reasonably at Joann's and at Hancocks with my coupons. Also, I just got a 50% off coupon in my email from Joanns along with another 20% off total purchase in my inbox this morning. The coupons cannot be used on the same item, though.
The email coupons will take a little of the bite out of the price.
Good luck with your project.

Maybe you could use some FELTED WOOL in the place of it? I did an eagle wallhanging for DH and had to do that to get the range of fabric shades I wanted.

I work at a fabric store in the midwest and could get you some for $4.99 a yard plus shipping.

If interested let me know.
