I am drawn to cool tones of green, blue and especially purple, so my stash is heavy towards those. But I did just win the Fat Quarter Frenzy at the last guild meeting and they were all yellows, golds and oranges! That helped even out the stash and inspired me to make several log cabin pumpkin blocks!

Any color that makes me think of autumn and forests. Greens. That blue and yellow quilt Catherine did, and a green and pink I saw here too!

Red is my very favorite color. I also like autumn (fall) colors as well as anything Christmas. You won't find any florals in my stash. I like geometric prints, tone on tone and theme fabrics.

I love an assortment---1930's repro, Americana, flowers, and my favorite is any of the primitives fabrics, oh and of course any holiday fabric.

I'm usually drawn to greens and purples - fortunately they look good together - and I love jeweltones -but a lot of times I'm doing a quilt with a particular person in mind, so I buy their favorite colors.

I did one for a young man whose favorite colors are orange (bright bright bright orange) and green (green green green green). I did a rail fence for him and teased while I was working on it that it looked like leprechaun puke - but it turned out surprisingly well and, more importantly, he loves it.

I read once that it's good to always pick a few colors that are out of one's comfort range. I don't much care for "earthtones" but I try to pick up a few now and again.

I need to go shopping on your blue shelves. lol I'm collecting fat quarters for a blue and yellow pineapple quilt I want to make. That sucker calls for something like 52 fat quarters. I'm not even close to that many!

I tend to gravitate towards smaller prints, old fashion looking prints - Civil War, 1800 repro's, burgandy, blue, tan, forest gree, scrappy... I do not like to do bold, bright, tropical colors but will if it's for someone else.
