What is your favorite fabric marking tool when you are quilting a lap or twin size quilt? It seems like with all of the rolling of the fabric and readjusting that the marks would get rubbed off. There are so many to choose from...I decided to ask the experts!

I use friXion pens but mine are all scrappy so if there is a faint white line on the darker fabs- it doesnt bother me.. and unless anyone is looking for it no can tell.. otherwise ill use a regular mechanical lead pencil to mark the wrong side..

I hate the blue pens, they seem to dry up and stretch the fbs when im marking..

Ill use Fons and Porter White marking Meachaincal pencil on darker fabs - it washes out great..

I love the Clover Thin line Chalk marker but they may not be making it anymore. I quilted queen size quilts using my Bernina 1530 and it never wore off before I started quilting. Easily removed with brushing and sometimes a damp paper towel. DON'T use the blue or the yellow. Doesn't come out !!

I like the Clover "Thick" blue marking pen. It only takes a very light touch to mark the quilt and I have not had a problem washing it out yet...have used it on three quilts. The fine markers take a lot of retracing to get a mark I can see, so extra time and also the pen wears out quicker. Water soluble, don't iron over it!

Blue Line Marker/Eraser is my favorite! I always test on all the fabrics before using, but so far, it has come out of them all very easily. There is a pen type of thing you put the fluid in that you can go right back over your lines and it comes right out. http://shop.bluelineeraser.com/BLE-3...it-BLE-Kit.htm
