My "go to" pattern is a Log Cabin ... especially for scrap quilts.

I just love scrappy quilts. They are so homey and inviting, to me.

The only pattern I have ever repeated was a OBW, the pattern might be the same but they look totally different with different fabric. There are too many gorgeous patterns out there, and life is too short to keep making the same pattern over and over again. You should see my to do list and every day that I look here on the board it grows and grows, at this rate I will never get to the bottom of it even if I live to 200

The only pattern I have repeated (and I did it 3 times) is a type of stack and slash. Here is one version.

My fav is Eleanor Burns's Tennessee WaLtz, I have made it five times for graduation and the large empty places are great for pictures.

My absolute favorite is Dresden Plate. I collect vintage plates with roses, so I guess it's just another part of the obsession.

Mmmmm....have to think on that question. For me, a string quilt & rag quilts are easy.Like others have mentioned, making the same pattern is boring.
A lot of ppl say the log cabin is easy, but that was one of my 1st quilts & it was not easy at all.The blocks were/are wonky, but didn't know how to square blocks.
Maybe I will make another one, just to see if I've improved!
