Does anyone know where I can get bobbins for my featherweigt? I acquired a machine a few years ago but never use it because it has only one bobbin.

I got mine at Joanns and I don't like them at all. I am in the same boat as you are. I will be watching this thread to find a solution. Thanks for starting this!
Merry Christmas!!!

I think I found mine on eBay, I bought 10 of them at the time not knowing if I would find them again! Try there.

I buy them at my favorite quilting store. They keep them behind the counter but always have a supply. Let me know I can send some your way if needed. They might be a little more spendy than ebay but I get them right away!

I have a vintage Singer 15-91. It uses a different sized bobbin than a Featherweight 221, but the class 15 bobbins are still made just like the Featherweight bobbins. Most of the newly manufactured 15 bobbins are made from a lighter weight metal, which I finally figured out my machine doesn't like. Even though the new ones fit in my machine, they rattle around in the case more than the original. This slightly affects the stitch quality. I just use my one original bobbin. Other people are able to use the new size 15 bobbins with no problem.

There are some e-bay sellers that sell vintage parts for Singer SM. I really need to buy some old bobbins and throw out the collection I have bought trying to find a new brand that works. If you find that your Featherweight doesn't like the new ones, you might search on E-bay for a supplier of vintage parts. I think there is a Yahoo group devoted to Singer Featherweights, you might join and find a source there.

Email Delores Pickens at [email protected] and ask if she still has vintage ones and tested ones to sell you. She sold me vintage ones for 75 cents each - she sets a limit of 4 on those. She also takes newer ones out of the original package and tests them to make sure they work well in the featherweight, and sells them for 40 cents each. She charged me $2 for shipping 12 bobbins, only takes a check - and I received them within 4 days of sending my check to her. She'll give you her mailing address if you email her.

I've rarely posted in here but I just had to tell you about Jean S. Lyle in Quincy, IL. Website: www.jslyle.com
You can find so many things Featherweight on this site.

They now have a Featherweight table to drop the machine in which makes a large flat surface. The bobbins are 75¢ each but $6.50 for 10. These are all genuine parts.
