I was just at a Quilt show in Jackson, WY. Quilting in the Tetons. This quilt is a must see if it is ever in your area. The quilt was finished in 1999 took the quilter 2 and half years to finish. He is Dentist Donald E. Locke, of Waxahachie, Texas this was only his second quilt. It's a photorealistic quilt of Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper. There are 350 different fabrics,51,816 half-inche squares and is 15.3 feet wide by 5.5 feet high. I asked him being new to quilting what made you take on this project he laugh and said I didn't know any better at the time his 2 son's thought he'd lost his mind, but all are very proud of his work. It is amazing and a must see quilt.

They had this quilt on display at the International Quilt Show Chicago a few years back. He and his work are just incredible.
