OK - am I the only SLOB - 'was just wondering how many of you "tidy up" immediately after sewing, or do you close the door and walk away until the next time. Then cleaning happens when you can't stand it any longer........this scares me - am I a near-to-be HOARDER??

That's why I now have my own sewing room! I can just leave everything "as is" when I stop sewing for whatever reason!
I can close the door and come back later to everything just as I left it! I must admit, I do have to sweep the floor to get those little strings and stray pieces that drive me crazy sticking to my feet. lol

I was just about to type that I'm a neat and tidy...but I turned around to look at my room and, it's quite messy. So, I suppose that I'm both a slob and neat and tidy. I recently had my gallbladder removed, so putting things back where they belong (if it's low) isn't happening yet. Usually during a project my sewing room is orderly, but not OCD neat and tidy. If guests are coming and I know it, then it becomes neat and tidy, even in the middle of a project.

Acrtually my sewing room is in the basement with "admittance by invite only" so no one see my mess. (especially my DH nor does he see stuff I have)

LOL I don't think being messy is the same as being a hoarder :D My area gets cleaned as needed, but not after each project :D:D:D

Well, honestly, my room becomes a mess during a project, but I do require myself to clean it up and put everything away before I start a new project.

If I skip from one project directly into another, without cleaning, I can't find anything! My room is so small that if I don't clean up between them, you can't even walk safely in there :)

So - I think I'm both also :)

I tidy up every time I am finished sewing for the night. This way the next day everything is fresh and in order. No hunting for something. I find I would waste more time hunting than just putting things away after I am done for the night.
