Welcome to the Quilting Board!

My understanding of a fidget quilt is just made of squares and/or rectangles using textured fabrics like faux fur, silk, velvet, polartech, satin, velour, etc. The folks just stroke the fabric and feel the textures which I understand is very calming. Its almost like the "blankie" that babies use.
So just choose a block size and make a laprobe. I think texture is more important than size.
Hope this helps. Suzanne
I'd never heard of such a thing. Thank you so much for that information Suz! :)
what a wonderful idea. new to me but my church is starting a quilting group fo make quilts to donate and i will pass this along. i'll bet we do some of these. would love to see a picture of one.
Include some satins. I loved the feel of satin fabrics as a child!
great way to use up the shirts from years past!!!!!!!

Amazing how we think of these things. It was only this morning that I got an email from my friend who was visiting her mom who lives in a home in Canada. She said the ladies were making fegit quilts for the Alzheimer patients.
She said to put buttons and zippers. I thought you could put large yo yo's like the Amy Butler quilt that is just lovely...I am making one for my friends mom (another friend)
Turning 20. Yellow Brick Road...any of those would do and you can just add the zipper and buttons and yo yo. I will post mine when I get my Mindless done.
