I got so much helpful info and encouragement about not getting my quilter to quilt the tops or contact me. At the end of the discussion I received a phone call they were done-after waiting since May. I am so disappointed in the work-it was not done in the way I had asked. Some of the outlining is terrible and very off. Needless to say, she'll get no further quilts from me. How have some of you handled situations like this? :(

Yes, I was naive. I had seen previous work and it was nice. I was upset over her not doing the designs as promised; but with it being so long and she had not written anything down. I've learned just how amateurishly she runs her business.

How disappointing. I quilt my own, wouldn't trust anyone and this way, I can honestly say I made it.

I think I will be much more careful now, but this was a tribute to my dear 93-year old friend who hand pieced the 'umbrella girls'. She was happy with her first one sent there, but this work was definitely not up to par. I'm thinking of going back to hand quilting for my next important quilt.

Oh, I'm so sorry that happened! I quilt my own or I'd be asking for her name so I wouldn't make the mistake of hiring her!

What a shame. All that work and it's messed up by someone else :-(
