I had bi-lateral foraminal fusion at C6-7 due to foraminal stenosis. Those nerves were being crushed and I had pain shooting into the shoulder and down my right arm and numbness in both hands. The pain was horrific. Doing much better!!
Sounds like we had the same surgery and I noticed the difference in the recovery room because I could move my arm around without pain. I still have mild tendonitis pain but that is from fibromyalgia. You will get very tired of the soft neck brace, though.

I had my C5 & C6 fused a few years ago... was so glad I did it. Nerve pain is THE worst kind of pain, IMHO. Sending prayers and best wishes your way. Just take it easy and do not to try to do too much too fast! :-)

Thank you everyone for the very kind words and wishes for a speedy recovery!! It was so nice hearing from everyone as I have been so bored not being able to do anything. I appreciate everyone who took the time to send good wishes and especially to those who PM'd me and shared their stories with me. I am grateful to each and every one of you who replied. Keep in touch folks!! Don't hesitate to PM me as I am home alone here and am bored to death. My husband works 4 hours from home and won't be back again until Friday. I love hearing from you all! Thanks again everyone, you all have been so kind!!

I too was surprised at the number of ladies with this surgery done.
Mine was 4,5,6,7,T1 so it really affects turning and etc. but as you say..some days are great others not so much. I've learn to adjust but it did take a good year before it really settled down.
