Great price I've been looking for one also where are you located I'm in Illinois. My machines are so heavy & I take my machine with me on trips & classes etc. I would see if he would let either take it someone & have it checked out or bring someone with you to check it out.

Hope that one of the FWs is in great condition for you and with all the attachments! Should be fun to check them all out and be sure to test drive before you pick! The price is good for a FW.

You want to look it over before you buy. Does it have all the parts? How about the bobbin case - is it there? Does it work? How's the stitch? Check inside for rust and gunk. Does it have any accessories? Is there a case? Manual? How's the finish on it? Dull, flaky, chipped or shiny and new? How does the motor sound? Run the foot control enough to know if it works for more than a couple minutes. How much are you willing to do to it? Are you willing to pay for servicing the machine?

If you see white powder on the machine, walk away. Also check the wiring.
