Welcome to the Quilting Board!

What first attracts you to a quilt? For me it's the use of colors that I'm drawn to first. The fabric colors set the whole mood (for me at least) of the project.
It's the geometry of the pattern that attracts me.
I think I notice the colors first too. If i don't like the colors I won't like the quilt so much, not matter what the pattern.
I don't want to brag but I can still fit into the earrings I wore in high school.
Usually it is the color scheme. Then I notice the pattern. Sometimes it is hard to separate the two, as in a sunburst type coloring - or in other styles where the placement of the coloring is the pattern and the quilt itself becomes one big block.
I love quilts that are made that are completely different than what the store bought ones look like. I love how when we create a quilt noone has the exact one.
I am not really sure!! Sometimes I think it's the colors and other times the pattern.
When it seems like the world is falling to pieces remember that the pieces are falling into place. We are nearing closer to the End Times.
I'm pretty sure the first attraction for me is the colors. You can take the worst pattern in the world and do it up in Kansas Troubles fabric or Jo Morton fabrics and I'm hooked.
