Default First Snow

Anyone here doing this quilt along? http://www.quiltersnewsletter.com/ch...es-quilt-along
I am having fun as it goes from July thru October. I look forward to a new block each Tuesday. Would love to know others are also making it. We could post pictures. I am doing mine with a gray background that looks like snow. My houses are all red. I am making mine look more a winter rather than a Christmas quilt, then I can keep it out all winter. We live in CA and don't get much snow or rain for that matter so I like thinking about snow, icicles, snowmen, sleds, etc. It keeps me cool. I am having fun embellishing each block as I go. We off to paper piece this week's house.

I saw that quilt in QNM, and it is darling, but I'm not one for embellishment, and I think that's what makes this quilt special. I'll look forward to seeing how you do on yours.

Very cute. And the price is reasonable for a BOM. I may think about this one.

Murphy1: Seriously?!?!? You HAD to show me something else I just MUST do??? Well, I'm off to print off the patterns that are there so far! BTW, I can't wait to see your red and gray version - that sounds fabulous!

It has been fun. I have done the 4 houses in the order that is shown on the full quilt. Would love to see yours as you go to. I will take my pictures, send them to myself so I can access them on my computer and post them tomorrow. I am making mine more winter and not Christmas so now I am on a mission to find fun ways to make it seem like winter, I say as it is 90+ outside. Hope you join me michelleoc.

Thanks for sharing this! I have printed off the patterns so far. I am so behind in everything I was planning to do this year but this looks like it would be fun.

Okay, I'm with you, michelleoc. I've got them printed off. Now if I can remember to check every Tuesday and get the next ones. I won't do this for awhile but it's really cute. And, I need to make a Christmas wall hanging for my granddaughter. This might work.

Thanks, Murphy 1

That is really cute. I hadn't seen that one. Like I need another project! Unfortunately my job and sleep get in the way of my quilting. I will have to print it out and make it.
