Nessie is it like ditch hopping. I agree I find echoing a seam easier than Sitd. I like to use the width of a foot to keep distance away from seam.

Echo quilting is several rows of stitching going outside the seam line. I use a round foot and the when starting the next row the foot becomes my guide by placing it against the last row of stitching. Takes out the guess work of how far a

Oh well, it doesn't matter. I still am delighted with the way it is turning out and I am enjoying it. That is what counts, right?

Okay, what some of us are doing is called 'outline' quilting. Found this, on the web -
"A line of quilting that is stitched a uniform distance away from a fabric patch, applique piece or quilting motif. If you stopped with the first line of stitching, it is called outline quilting.
If you continue by stitching another line a uniform distance away from the first, you are now echo quilting. "
