Has anyone used Fiskers 60mm blades in your Olfa rotary cutter? I have a chance at getting some but don't want to buy another rotary cutter if I don't have to.

Thanks, Kris

Don't quote me on this, but I think they are pretty much the same size.

If I'm wrong, someone jump in and correct me please.

I think you have to have the 60mm cutter for the 60mm blades to fit. I have both a 45mm and a 60mm. Can't find the 45mm at the moment, but pulled out the 60mm Fiskars and the cutter is definitely designed for the 60mm blade. The round plastic is sized to provide support for the entire blade. I'm afraid if you used the bigger blade in a 45mm cutter, the blade would not have enough support.

Here is a link to the 60mm cutter. You can use either 45mm or 60mm blades in it:

Here is a link to the 45mm cutter. It doesn't mention that you can use 60mm blades in it. Also, you can see that the entire 45mm blade is supported by plastic.

I prefer using my 60mm if I am cutting with a ruler. It's easier for me. However, it's too big to use in my June Taylor "Short Cut" (flexible plastic with slots for cutting); have to use the 45mm for that kind of cutting.

I guess I should have said my Olfa is a 60mm. Just needed to know if the Fiskers 60mm blades would fit the 60mm cutter.

Thanks, Kris

I started out with a Fiskars cutter and put olfa blades in it all the time. I imagine that you can reverse that.

I think Prism misunderstood me. For my 45mm cutters, Fiskers, Olfas, and a Brand X generic, all 45mm blades are interchangeable. I got a 60mm for Christmas, and have not had to replace the blade yet, but I imagine (hope) the same rules would apply.

The blades are interchangeable if they are the same size.

i was gifted with a 60. big waste of money if you ask me. or not. the blades cut with fewer rotations, so they're supposed to last a little longer, but they are very pricey. i never see the blades on ebay so i don't use the cutter. i always use the 45 because i got the blades (generic) on ebay.
they work just fine.
