Flannel binding?

Flannel binding?

Is there a problem with binding a baby quilt with flannel fabric? The top is cotton. Thanks for your advise..

I dont see a problem with this as long as you cut it along the straight of grain and NOT across the bias.

Thanks. That was my thought also. I plan to wash and dry it a couple of times also.

I think it is a great idea! I might starch it a bit too before cutting, it it a bit stretchier than quilting cotton :wink:

no problem but a bit bulky. i have used single layer flannel for binding.

I have always used flannel for binding my flannel baby quilts. I've never had a problem with it.

Make sure and wash the flannel first and you will be fine.
