I have been writing to get advice about the Handi Quilter Frame (first Version). I will be using my Juki with it. Someone mentioned floating the quilt top when loading it on the frame. Again, I obviously need all the help I can get. Anyway, what does "floating a quilt" mean. Thanks, Ganma7/Joyce in Georgia

The top is not secured to the bottom roller of the frame, but instead hangs (floats) down over the rollers. Hope that helps.

I float my batting that way. I think it works better than attaching to the roller. Top and back are always rolled, though.

Hi, Joyce,
I don't have an answer but just wanted to say "Hello" and "Welcome to the Group." I live nearby you in Macon.

I know where Macon Ga is! I spent my senior yr in HS in Warner Robbins.

I always float my top, always floated the batting never knew any other way with the batting. At first I attached my top to both bars but not anymore.

I grew up in Warner Robins and graduated from WRHS---my husband graduated from Northside. Not only do I love this board for the great ideas and beautiful sharing of work, but I love it for making each of us a friend! It really is a small world!
