I saw a small quilt made into a floor cloth in a quilting shop. The sales lady thought it was made using the decoupage method. It was very nice. I was thinking about making one for my cousin, so any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

this should probably be on the chat, maybe not, but it would be pretty cool to take canvas, mask it off, paint (the nice thing about the paint is some companies have samples you have to buy them, but i do not think they are too much, have not looked in awhile tho, and besides you could mix the colors and get what you wanted), and paint a big quilt block, or several small ones, would be interesting, will add to my list of unfinished projects, lol

If it's painted, use acrylic sealer or varnish, several coats to protect well.

i must have led a sheltered life, because I have never heard of a "floor cloth" before now....

I've only heard it from my cousin who is renovating a house that was built in the 1700's, so don't feel bad about not hearing about it!
