Don't geese fly "home" in the spring. You could use greens and yellows.

Someone had that quilt on display at a Quilt Show I attended in Canton, TX several years age. It was breathtaking.

tessbug - that is interesting. It makes me think, where is their home? Up north here in Minnesota the geese come in spring where they breed and have their young. When it starts to get cold they head South to get away from the cold. So in my thinking where they have their young is their home, but that is just my opinion. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

I have that book and that quilt is on my "bucket list." I haven't started to think about what colors yet.

How true Sandy, when my daughter was young and I was sewing garments for her she would find a pattern and choose patterns just because of the color of the fabric on the cover. She seemed to have a problem thinking about how a different color would make a darling outfit, or a different pattern would work great with her choice of fabric.

She had such great patterns. I have a lot of them downloaded on my computer and a lot of them are on my list to do! Not sure if I have this pattern or not but did admire it and still do. Australia, love your color scheme.

Whatever you plan for this quilt, please post your progress for everyone to enjoy. I love PBs patterns and find lots of inspiration in her books. Thank you Pam.

Thank you so much for starting this thread and also to the person who provided the name of the book! I love it! I found a used book on Amazon and promptly ordered it. This quilt is now added to my to-do list.
