Is anyone using the Flynn multi-quilt frame with their machine? Do you like it and was it hard to "catch on" to moving the frame rather than the machine?

I'd like to know the answer, too. I purchased one a couple years back and have been too intimidated to use it.

I had one but was never very happy with it. I ended up selling it.

I have one but never use it. It just seems to much trouble to use for small quilts and too unwieldy for large quilts. Need to sell it.

I had one & had no problem using it. My problem was no a big enough room, or table space on each end of my machine, to slide the frame side to side, as I quilted on it. If you have a big enough room, & long enough table space on both sides of your machine, I think the frame works great! It does exactly what they say it will do, & beats wrestling with your quilt on your machine otherwise, with no frame. You get what you pay for, so check it out & make sure this is what you want...

Does it at least allow you to avoid basting? Can it be used to hand quilt if it doesn't work out for machine use? It's not terribly expensive...

I didn't do any basting using this one, & check their site for hand quilting, I know they have the stands for the frame, some sort of setup, but since I used mine on a machine, I am not sure how that works. I liked the price too, that was why I got one. It's just that we have a small house & I was working in my back bedroom studio...

I love mine, though it's being upgraded to a Tin Lizzie in a few months :D So much easier than pin basting and trying to maneuver quilt bulk. And my system came with an instructional DVD plus an instruction booklet, so it was pretty easy to figure out.

If I had 48" to the left of my machine, I wouldn't need a thing more.
