I've FMQ several small quilts with minky backs. I spray basted them and quilted them on my DSM and had no trouble. Easy peasy!

I've done FMQ but not specific shapes on minky. If it is well basted you should be fine

I want to use MinKY for backing on a couple of things I have going right now , so I am finding this thread very interesting and helpful . So glad someone started it.

I've made a couple of baby quilts and used Minkee as the backing. I did not use batting, as the Minkee is heavy as it is. I stitched-in-the-ditch to quilt them, and they turned out beautifully!
