What a surprise, I got an envelope from Moda today with an acknowledgement of my "just one star" blocks and in it, they sent me a little packet of 2 1/2" squares. Wow, how generous of them when you think that they are doing all the work of putting all those blocks together to make the quilts. I was just amazed.

I got mine today-I agree, it was totally unexpected that they would even acknowledge the blocks!

Where is everyone signing up for this block? I would like to make a few. Thanks!

Someone had a post going to see how many members from our board joined in on this project and how many different states were representated. Was a total ever posed? It would be interesting to now.

What a neat idea! I just whipped up a star block to mail first thing in the morning. It only took a few minutes, a tiny bit of scrap fabric, and is going toward a great cause. :)

I have that pattern and all the fabric for it. That is before it became a quilt of valor. How cool.
