Foldy Log Cabin quilt
#1
Has anyone made the 'Foldy Log Cabin' quilt using the pattern from Donna at http://www.quiltwithdonna.com/foldystuffpageb.html? I have made a twin size quilt top using this method. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to quilt it? It just seems wierd to stitch across all the folding so was wondering, that since there is a musling foundation if it would be ok to just stitch in the ditch where the blocks meet. Will that be enough quilting?Any suggestions are most welcome.

My very first full sized quilt was a Donna Poster foldy Log Cabin. That was all the quilting I did on the body of the quilt, but I put wide borders on it and that is where I first tried stippling. I was chicken, so I used invisible thread on the front, but actually, it was fairly easy and I enjoyed doing it.
What I meant up above is the only quilting on the body was as you mentioned, between the blocks. That wasn't too clear, what I said first.

Is this the Foldy Log Cabin quilt technique developed by Donna Poster? If so, I've tried to locate an answer to this as well. I have nearly enough blocks made of the round log cabin design for a queen quilt. Like you, I really don't want to sew down the pleates.

Here is a video I made of Donna Poster demonstrating her "Foldy Stuff" techniques. The sewing part is shown from two angles so what she is doing at any given time is crystal clear. Hope this helps anyone breaking in!
