Thank you. I'll be here. Just one question.....who is that peeking out from behind the flowers in your avatar?

When I first saw it the other day I had to take a second look to make sure it was really there...  (Or that I really had finally gone on over the edge of sanity) :?

I think it is from a painting but I am not sure of the artist....during the rennaisance period.....fiddle-dee-dee! I will come across it somewhere...always seems to work that way. It is neat though.

Catherine,
I have been working on my baby quilt for the last 6 weeks. I got an idea as soon as I saw the ad for the contest. Then I googled my design idea to see if it had been done before, and I couldn't find it. YAYYYYYYYY. I think I might have come up with something original. I really think you have to think of a design that you love and then go for it. I actually would rather win the 2nd or third prize, since I'm more of a hand quilter anyway. I know my husband would love it since he's the master machine quilter in our family. Have fun and Goodluck

Be sure and let us know when you have posted your finished product. I would love to see it! I have a design idea I believe is original. I've just not been able to get any sewing done all summer. But, I believe I will be making up for it soon. Wheather or not it will be in time for Fons & Porter's contest will be another story. I also heard that you give up the right to your design and pattern when you enter. I have not really verfied this as fact but. it's enough to put me off from entering. Esp. if I come up with an original design.
