    Default Foodie Quilt Needs a Border

    I need to choose a border for this food quilt so i can move on to the next quilt. Definitely needs the black strip first then?????

    I'm thinking the polka dots but it's a little hard to tell without seeing the entire quilt.

    I am with Joyce - I like the polka dots (based on what I can see). The zigzag is pretty but I like the polka dots more!!!

    Neither of them really grab me. In my opinion, the zig-zag is too angular and the dots are too small and busy. Both take away from the clean, bold impact of the foodie center. I agree it would be easier to judge with a wider photo and an idea of what width border you are considering.

    I like the idea of using the framing fabrics in the border like you did with the zig-zag (or at least like I think you did); have you considered using them in a piano key design instead?

    Normally I love all things polka dot, but in this case they just don't seem to go with your quilt. I do like the idea of the piano keys border suggested earlier though.
