Does anyone have any finished quilt photos using the FBTY panels from Benartex? I've got 2 different designs. One is the Hunter Star and the other the fan one. I'm probably going to start them soon.

If anyone has pics I'd love to see. Also if anyone has any of the other design panels for sale, PM me;>

Was it easy to do? Did you use batting or find the leave in panel was enough?

I have done the FBTY. I made the New York Beauty and got great "pointy points"!! It is made from a variety of reds for the points and the corners are all the same blue. I was very pleased with how easy it went together. I haven't finished it - it's not quilted. When I asked at LQS I was told to quilt just like any other quilt only it will be heavier because of the foundation that is in it and that machine quilting would be best. I wouldn't even want to think about trying to cut it all out. Good luck with yours.
I also have two other FBTY but right now I'm not sure where they are. I'm in the process of moving my sewing from one room to another!

That came out great. Will you be using batting?

Yes, I will use a batting. If I didn't I think it could look and feel lumpy because of the added fabric from the foundation fabric.

Although I don't have anything completed right now, I use this product a lot and find nothing better if you're looking for making the fine points and having everything come out perfectly.

Since I'm a pre-washer then starcher, I'm wondering if I should pre-wash the foundation panels beforehand too? Since the print won't wash out, I wouldn't think anything would be wrong with that?

On the foundation by the yard I have it does recommend to wash it. However, I always put it in a short cycle in medium water and then press. I have never had a problem.

Thank you! I haven't read the package on mine. I will do that.
