l hope you all find this helpful .. it was to me since l'm not a long time quilter. l guess l just didn't realize there was this much fabric in a FQ (fat quarter, for any newbies) :)

The number of squares from a FQ (18"x22" piece of fabric)

99 - 2" squares
56 - 2-1/2" squares
42 - 3" squares
30 - 3-1/2" squares
20 - 4" squares
16 - 4-1/2" squares
12 - 5" squares
12 - 5-1/2" squares
9 - 6" squares
6 - 6-1/2" squares

HTH ~ :D

Thanks so much for info. I had no idea that you could get so many sizes etc out of one FQ. I have never used a FQ except to add interest in one or two spots on a lap quilt. You gave me inspriation....thanks

Thank you!! I have rarely purchased fat quarters. But with the info you posted, it makes it more tempting to try them.
