Just found this site and it is really very interesting and informative. Check it out. With videos for free motion quilting. Am going to try this. They make it sound very easy. Don't know if any body else is aware of it but for those who don't know about it, check out this site.
www.FreeMotionProject.com You will be happy to see this and the good tips she offers.

Not my taste, I don't care for that much quilting.

I understood that this was a way of creating a new design for each day of the year. BUT.....what is the purpose? How can it be used on a bed size quilt? I see Leah has lots of followers so perhaps they can explain how they have used this method. I think more in terms of whole quilts and not single blocks. What do you think?

She starts in the middle and kind of squares it off into 4 blocks and then you do each quarter, from the center to the edge of your quilt. I think it is something I will try. Looks very nice. I love the look of a finished quilt all quilted but I can't afford to have mine done like that, so I hope this is the next best thing to do to really finish it off. Worth a try.

I think her designs can be used in certain areas of the quilt. She shows lots of possibilities for sashings and areas that needs a filler. I have used her ideas and maybe changed them a bit as I think each quilter creates the same design a bit different. I at least reference her work.

Thank you. I am sure it will make my adventures into FMQ less fraught with drama.:)
