I have been doing a lot of FMQ on panels and today I have had 3 needles break while FMQ. Has anyone had this problem. I am working on a Brother sewing machine.

You may need to increase the speed the needle moves. Usually when he needle breaks is because you are moving the fabric faster then the needle and you end up moving the fabric while the needle is still down. I hate that sound. My standard while FMQ is slow hand, fast machine.

you must use a darning foot too or spring foot. one that has a spring on the shaft. that helps keep the fabric from moving the split second the needle is in the fabric.
fast food pedal speed, slower fabric movement speed.
