Default Free Online BOMs?

Hi-

Are there any BOMs online that are free? I am looking to start a new project and I don't really like any of the LQS' BOMs..thanks, JC

Default Free bom

Hi, Fairfield fabric and batting site has a sampler BOM that I am doing right now, I really like it; you do have to wait for each new month's pattern however.

Have fun. Antylu

There are actually a few on this site. Last year I was part of the Star BOM--not finished yet but have 9 of my 12 done. They have the archives for the past 3 year I think. This year there are a few going on as well but you will need to buy a book to join in the 50 stars, but that being said the book is fairly inexpensive and the download is even less. QuiltersCache.com has TONS of free blocks you could just pick a different one everyone month and make your own sampler pattern. Just remember no matter which direction you go we WANT to see pictures and you should have lots of fun!!

Craftsy.com has a block of the month. It is free and the subscription does not expire.

I started collecting Block Centrals pattern for Sentimental Journey, but they never posted the last part. I sent them an eMail but they never answered. I think I can finish it without the pattern, but haven't started it. Because of this I am afraid to start one. I collect all the months before I start anything. I forgot to add Fat Cats Patterns has several BOM patterns and they are free.

Did you check out our own calendar BOM for 2012? There are also archives of previous BOMs - check out the Forum section Blocks of the Month and Week - I think last year they had two, a house BOM and a star BOM - lots of conversation and information to help you do it, even if the BOM is finished.

I'm also doing Craftsy's BOM. It is so great. You do 2 blocks a month and you watch a video with Amy showing you how to do each block. She makes them easy to make. This is one BOM that I am going to finish. I even bought the same fabric she is using. You can use your own if you want. I think most people are. But check out craftsy.com and on the left hand side, click on quilting and the free BOM is about the third row down. It's absolutely free and like someone said, it never expires, so you can start anytime you want. It started in January so I have 6 blocks already made. They are blocks I never would have made, but am so glad I did. I love them all.
