I've used Hobbs Heirloom cotton/poly fusible and like it well enough. Also used June Tailors but it sometimes has gobs of glue you must watch out for. Your quilt will feel a bit stiffish when fused but sew it and then soak in washer to remove glue and it will be soft again.

I like to use Hobbs 80/20 fusible but you need a good size area to iron it on. I do mine flat on the old carpet on my basement floor. If you have a large ironing board you can do it but spreading it out completely to sandwich and iron works best for me.

I have not had much success with it ... it never quite seems to have the hold like spray basting. It lifted or seemed to separate and then the tucks in the backing happened... Once I found spray basting I never went back.

There's another thread about this to check if you don't get many replies. I bought two of the Hobbs 80/20 fusible on sale. It works but I found it needs to be ironed in sections and then quilted. I was using a DSM, if that makes a difference. With asthma, spray basting is out.

I accidentally bought some June Taylor fusible batting. It was the only batting that they had at JoAnn's that day in the size I wanted, and I was in such a hurry I only read the size on the package. I used it; but did not like it enough to ever buy it again.

I like fusible battings for table runners, tree skirts, projects that are small or odd shaped. I've not used it for any actual bed sides quilts.

I've had mixed results. A few times it worked great, although it's kind of a pain to un-stick it and smooth it out when it comes out of the package. Then I had some bad experiences where it just wouldn't stick no matter how much I steamed it.

I did a twin size with the fusible, and it took about 4 hours to fuse. I prefer spray basing. But fusible batting is alright for smaller projects. You have to baste all the way around the outside edge, to keep it from separating.

Not at all happy with it.
