Back again for more advice. This is the best place for quilting information on the whole internet. My question today is "Does anyone use fusible batting and do you like it? I have four table runners to make to raffle at our church and was wondering if I could use fusible batting. I have read info on the the technique of using it, but would like input before I begin. Thank you in advance for your help. Trolley Station

I have never used it, but have used wonder under to fuse batting on very rare occasions.

Did you do a search on it here? I think someone has discussed this before.

for a table runner I think it would be just fine, there is also fusible fleece Ithink it's #987 F, I use it for bags and it would be very good for a table topper.

I have used Hobbs fusible and June Tailor's. I was impressed with the Hobbs, not so much with the June Tailors. I think these projects would be a great place to try this out and see if you like it.

I haven't used it, but have been wondering about using it for raggy quilts

I have used it for bags, really gums up the needle. I prefer to use basting spray.

I love, love, love fusible batting. I've used it for two lap quilts, a wall hanging and a table runner. I scatter a few safety pins, especially on the corners just as a little reinforcement, but overall, it holds very well. Any goo on the needle is easily removed with a little alcohol on a scrap of fabric or gauze, but I think that was more of a problem with basting spray. Watch Joann's ... I bought it at one of their two for one sales. Good luck!

There may be better brands, but just checked mine and it's June Tailor.

White mountain makes a good fuseable batting. I LOVE working with it, its easily 'moved' if the top and bottom are not sitting well, once you press it it stays VERY well so quilting is so much easier (for those of us who find the actual quilting part hard). It washes great, its a thin cotton batting (like felt?) and I just ordered more to finish a quilt top I made at Christmas.

Do you fuse it to the backing or to the quilt top?
