I used steam a seam lite and my long armer had no problem quilting through it - mountains, trees, lake, cabin, etc. She did an excellent job - in fact, it won first in its category at our quilt show.

I don't think that even Solvy has an iron-on fusible that washes away. They have iron-on fusibles, and they have wash-away fusibles, but not one that is both. I think. If I'm wrong, someone *please* post a link!

I agree with those who say no washing before...distortion is not pretty.
I use fusibles and never had a problem at the quilters. Hope you find out soon anf let us know how it came out. I imagine it will be fine.

Ok I finally found my package. It's not Solvy, it's (oddly enough) C&T Publishing. 25 sheets, printable, water-soluble, single-sided fusible. The package says $15.95, I can't remember where I got it or how much I actually paid. I have not personally tried it yet, I plan to use it for an applique project that is next in line. However, I have a friend who used it for a hand-embroidered quilt she made and she demonstrated a sample of it for our group - she printed it, sewed it, dissolved it in a pan of water. Her project turned out beautiful and soft.
