I want to take my FW as carry-on because baggage throws and tosses so many bags I don't trust them with FW. Has anyone taken FW as carry on?

I haven't tried this, but have heard about others that did. Make sure you keep your power cord with it, in case they ask you to turn it on. You can contact the airport that you are flying out of, to check with them. Different airports (not airlines) have different tolerances. If they tell you to pack the cord, make sure to ask if they will require you to turn it on.

I brought a featherweight as a carry on from FL to NY. No problem, but they did open and searrch and rubdown my baby.

Some flights allow it, others may not. I have found that the larger jets had no problems with it, but the smaller jets have more limited space, and it is a gamble on whether it flys inside with you or in the hold. :D:D:D
