Default Geometry is not my friend! Need to find this fabric.

I tried to enlarge a quilt pattern I downloaded where the 5" blocks are set on point, and I apparently badly misfigured how many of each block I needed. I have pieced and prayed and cursed...but the one fabric I used that I cannot fake is this one.

What looks grey is actually a pale blue.

I only need about 6". . . I have no idea how long I have had this fabric nor from where I got it.

It looks like a batik and if so they do not have information printed on the selvedges. I check my stash but no luck. Hope you find it.

Perhaps you could use a solid brown or blue in the side and corner triangles?

At Christmas, I did something similar. I copied a pattern I saw in a sewing machine ad in one of my quilting magazines. No pattern, just went off the photo. I was a few inches short on one of the fabrics, which also was a batik. I went thru the waste basket and sewed together all the little cut offs and scraps, some of them were less than an inch wide, and had just enough to complete the quilt. The fabric was so busy that the extra seams were not noticeable. Any scraps you can use??

Hi, I found this chart that is sooooo helpful!!
www.thequiltedsnail.com/scale.html
Alas, the printer I have now won't enlarge, so will be more careful in choosing my next printer.

I already tried piecing smaller scraps together. This is the pattern I am making and this oops fabric is about 4th from the center.

You've probably already thought of this, but what about any fabric with similar colors/pattern to replace an even (and evenly spaced) number of the missing blocks? It'll look like you planned it that way .....

thousandsofbolts.com sometimes has some older fabrics, might check there. Good luck!

I did find a fat quarter in my stash that was too small to use in this pattern but has similar colors and intensity to the missing fabric. It will be a royal pain to un-do maybe every third square, but can be done.

Thanks for the source, will check it out.
