Hello, from a hope-to-be quilter! I have a quilt top that I guess my mother attempted - sorta of a pinwheel design that I don't really care for or know what to do with - but still an heirloom of sorts....
Then, I have a tablecloth and several napkins that my mom "experimented" with her new Singer years ago. The fabric is white, almost like a sheet, with cut-out designs machine-edged with lilac.
Any ideas for a quilt?

Hello. Welcome to the Quiltingboard. I am glad you have joined us.
You do not say what your level of skill is. If you are beginning to learn how to quilt I would suggest you put your mother's things away for a later time. Look at them and love them and save them for later. It is sometimes hard to sew behind someone else. Larger quilts are also harder to deal with than smaller ones. As you practice quilting lap quilts and smaller items you will gain the insight you are looking for to apply to your Mother's quilts.
We respect the decision you make and are here for you when you have questions or need help.
