Been there-done that-the blood clots, I mean-about 3 years ago-DVT's on the flight from LA to NewZealand-about 1 hour before landing. They called the paramedics at the airport who said I was probably just a little dehydrated and needed to eat!! I flew on to Vanuatu and 2 days later, in hospital there and the next day evacuated back to NZ and put in intensive care. Got thru it, though. Guess I'm lucky to be here according to the specialist there. I had multiple clots in both lungs. I now fly business class so I have the leg room and can get up and walk around without disturbing anyone!!

That's scary! Glad you're still around.

I hope you'll post photos of your vacation.

Well, Celeste, It is really NOT a vacation--I own a restaurant there and need to go meet a container of "stuff" we sent over and my manager wants a couple of weeks off, and we are going to paint and re-decorate our "inside" dining room (we also have a large veranda dining room decorated Mexican style--we serve Amercian and Mexican food). I have a staff of 20-all girls!- so I will have my hands full. I DO, however, plan to have some down-time and put away a few margueritas and work on my GFG!!!!! I will post a few photos, though! I leave today, so will be off the board for a couple of days. See ya'all!!

It looks like I'm guilty of assuming "vacation" (or visit family) due to where you're going. Oh well, still enjoy yourself!

Well, I'm sitting in the lounge in Fiji waiting for the flight to Vanuatu-I had no problems with my needles or scissors in my kit-no one batted an eye in Los Angele, and they only took them out to look at them in Fiji! Yea! Now I hope I get the same security people on the return flight!
I had a Dritz needle threader/cutter as well, and it will NOT thread my needle!! Maybe it needs a bigger hole needle, but I just took a couple of small ones hoping I could get them thru security-and it worked.
