I want to make the giant dilhia wall hanging. The instructions say to make the center like a texas star. I can't find any instructions on how to make the perfect points and the one I made was OFF and had a hugh knot in the middle. Help anyone?

The best pattern for the Dahlia is by Murin and Payne. Dover publication has it. I have made it with their templates in the book (card stock) ..it is the most perfect and best instruction ever.
