I have been going through some of my reference books and came upon a small book by Ami Simms called 'How NOT to Make a Prize Winning Quilt'. I reread it and I am sure I scared my family because I was laughing hysterically. If you can find a copy do get it - for us experienced quilters it is a very funny walk down memory lane when we all first started quilting and as for you newbies - you are DEFINITELY not alone!

I'll keep an eye out for this book. Thanks for the "book review". We all need to have a reminder of the early quilting experiences. :)

Ami Simms is a talented quilter with a great sense of humor. Her lectures are great fun and right on.

Ami Simms is a talented author and person in general. She was a guest speaker at out guild a couple years ago. She is a kick in person, just as she is in her books.
