Does anyone have one?
I see they are half off at JoAnns. Are they worth it?
I like my Fiskars just fine but....well, this one is Chloe which is Purple and I love purple....oh and 45mm!!!
Also, does anyone have any comments on a 60mm or 65mm rotary cutter? Do you use one? How often?

I have both but once you use the gingher you not go back to fiskers.
I was a faithful fiskers user. And I got this one as a gift. now it is the best
cutting tool I have ever used. Hope this helped

My fiskers are collecting dust ....3 of them.....I went to the squeeze handle Olfa....no putting the blade back ....very nice ....blades seem to last 3 times longer I have both the 45 and 60 and I find I use the 60 more ...why I don't know just feels better....my 2 cents worth.... But you go get you a new cutter and let us know how you like them....your due.....:-)

oh plus it's on sale .,.ohh what better reason....:-)

I love mine and will not go back to fiskers or olfa. The blade lasts a lot longer and it is very comfortable to cut with.

So it is the blade that is better? It lasts longer? Can you buy standard blades for it?

It's a great tool if you are right-handed...and I'm a lefty. There is no way to adapt it to left or right. I tried to use it with my right hand (I am a bit ambidexterous), but couldn't use it at all. The design makes it for use only in your right hand. The "feel", "heft", and smoothness of it is way above any of the other rotary cutters.

If you have a coupon and want to spring for it, go ahead...IF you use your cutter in your right hand.

That said, I have a collection of Gingher scissors and positively love them...especially the dressmaker shears (left and right-handed pairs). So, my disappointment is not with the manufacturer, but with the product.

I've looked on-line for it, but Gingher doesn't make a "lefty".

I finally gave it to a friend.

My Jo-Ann's had left-handed rotary Ginghers, but boy, are they expensive! I'm getting bruises on my wrist that I suspect are repetitive stress injuries, so I was kind of considering one. My best advice is to change the blade often on your rotary cutters. I use X-acto knives and kitchen knives and if they're not sharp, the results are less than perfect. Plus the strain of pushing. I'd hate to wear out my joints and not be able to quilt!

Yipee !!! I didn't know they had come out with the "leftie" version!!! I'm so happy!!!

My birthday is just around the corner...and I just sent my husband URLs of places where it's available. Sure wish I had know about this at Christmas...it would have gone to the top of my list!

Once again, the QB comes through. Ya wanna know something...just wait a bit and someone will give you the answer!

I'm all smiles         :!:

I have the Lefty one I love it! I also got mine for half off. I bought extra blades for it , since they are quite expensive!
