To date I've only used the traditional "U" shaped seam ripper, but am thinking of treating myself to a Gingher and upgrading my supplies one at a time. I've looked at them and since it's differently shaped than what I'm used to.....just wondering if anyone else uses it and what they think of its performance.....

    Thanks!

I just purchased a Gingher seam ripper like you are talking about. Haven't tried it yet though, so I'm no help. Sorry.

What is your favorite seam rippers?

I bought one several years ago and had a light on one end at Joann's and now I can't find them anylonger. Was so cool and i will need to do a search online and see if they still make them.

I use a small little seam ripper that is very sharp and is almost like a knife.

A single edge razor blade is all I use.

I like Candace's answer however I OFTEN use my "fat-handled" one. If anyone would make one with a non-shiny surface like brushed metal, I'd love it better! So hard when your task light bounces off the picker.
