Glue bottle metal tips for glue basting
I saw a discussion last week about the fine metal tips for a glue bottle and knew I had some somewhere. Mine are made by Plaid Enterprises (they make all those craft paints too) and are called Tip-Pen Craft Tip set. Hancock's Fabrics online has them, just use that name to search. My set came with a bottle and top and the metal tips fit perfectly on that top. I've been using it to glue baste the seams on the backing of a quilt that I'm quilting in sections...works great for that.
I also found that Lee Valley Tools has a set that includes those little accordion style glue bottles with a selection of metal tips. I used to make lamp shades and found that the accordion bottle let me dispense a continuous line of glue much more easily than squeezing a bigger bottle. They are at this link:

I've bought all kind of things from Lee Valley and always had good shopping experience with them.

I copied and pasted the search for the Plaid set at Hancock Fabrics and couldn't find it there.
What I am looking for are the tips (can be either metal or plastic, but preferably with a cover) that will fit directly on an Elmer's glue bottle so I don't have to fill a little bottle with glue. I think these are the tips that are so hard to find. Susan Schamber's daughter's website (Purple Daisies) used to sell metal tips, and more recently sold a pair of plastic tips, but they all appear to be no longer available.

Saw something at Soft Expressions the other day that might work. You could call them and ask about them. They were in the section with the Retayne and dyes. It had 2 bottles in pkg, plastic, two in pack, bottle was about 1-1 1/2" diam. Needle was about 3 - 4 " long. Tips screwed onto the little tube/bottle, but maybe could fit a Elmer's glue bottle. You would have to call and ask them. (I don't own it, just shop there)

You can buy the empty bottle with fine tip and fill with Elmers. http://www.customquillingbydenise.co...ives-c-44.html Most of these tips are for precision work hobbies so that's where you need to search. Model cars, fly fishing, etc.

Their search function did recognize any way that I searched for it! Sorry about that. I found it originally with a Google search for "plaid tip-pen."
