Good Morning Nancy, Thank you for your welcome! Interesting to read the places where you have lived. I am in Idaho, was raised in Oregon, and have lived in Mississippi, California, and at Goose Air Base, Labrador-Newfoundland. Eager to reconnect with fabric creations and gifting my family. Wising you a Happy New Year! Smiles, Snowrose

I have had the Go! Cutter for a couple of years, and although I don't use it as much as I thought I would, for me it was still a worthwhile purchase.

I have one strip die, but don't use it, as cutting strips with a rotary cutter isn't a problem for me. My favorite die is the small tumbler, then the triangle in a square. That one is nice because there are no dog ears, which makes lining up those of angles really easy. If you're into applique, cutting those shapes (as available through a die) would also be much easier and faster, too.

The reason I don't use mine as much as I could is that I don't have space to leave it out, out, it's in a closet in a different room.

I purchased mine, so gently used that it looked new, through a yahoo group, "sew is for sale. " you can get some good deals on all things sewing related there (as well as well items you no longer want). My dies were all purchased through another yahoo group, "Pins and needles 1." Prices there are always at least 30% off.

    Hope that helps!

My Go cutter quit after 2 years (only 1 year warranty) I chose to replace it with a Sizzix Big Shot Pro (there is a smaller and cheaper one) but haven't yet worked out how to use my Accuquilt dies with it. Advice would be welcomed. So far, the Sizzix seems to require less effort and so would be better for someone with arthritis

Hi Limey, Thank you for the response. I too have arthritis and that is one of the reasons a cutter has appeal. Unfamiliar with the Sizzis, yet will take a look at it too. Wishing you Happy Quilting! Smiles, Snowrose

There is a block that the sizzix needs to make the go dies fit. My Sizzix came with that block (I've since sold the Sizzix). You could probably get a piece of wood cut to fit....once you can figure out how thick it needs to be...seemed about 1/2 to 3/4" if I recall.

Limey, the Sizzix Products are my favorite. I have a GO but find it difficult to crank and use my GO dies on my Big Shot Pro with the Accuquilt Go Adapter. When the Sizzix acrylic pads are removed and the Accuquilt Go Adapter is inserted the height is perfect to accommodate the Go Dies. With the Sizzix acrylic pads removed your Sizzix Big Shot Pro will accommodate Acuuquilt Studio dies, Accucut Dies (all but the widest ones) and Ellison (Sizzix's parent company) dies. Honestly though I use my Sizzix dies on my Sizzix Big Kick/Big Shot the most. Patsy Thompson has done some writing on her blog you might find interesting and Ebony Love has her Big Little book of die cutting that is worth a look.

I have the GO and love it. I use the strip cutter the most, but I've just finished the hunter star which I posted pics yesterday. It was so easy and like mentioned above, no dog ears. This is the link to my pic http://www.quiltingboard.com/pictures-f5/

Good Morning Misty's Mom, Thanks for the inspiration and comments. I feel buoyed by the "vitamins of encouragement" from fellow quilters and truly appreciate your welcome. Tried accessing your picture without success, just because I am unfamiliar with how. Clicked on the link which took me to a long list of pictures. What is the best way to then access a particular quilter's picture? Thanks for helping. Happy Quilting! Smiles, Snowrose
