my future sewing room will go a nice shade of yellow. I'm acutally thinking of a nice shade of light mustard yellow. I remember seeing my quilt shop manager's sewing room once or twice and she had her sewing room painted a gorgeous shade of mustard yellow. I fell in love with it, and knew that was what I wanted to do!

Sewing room #1 is a creamy golden color. Sewing room #2 (I recently took over!) is a pale ocean blue. Both are fine but some day I will paint again. Possibly a pale yellow color in room #2. It's my favorite color.

If I ever get a sewing room I dont expect to see the walls for the book shelves and stash shelves and design wall and everything else I'd love to have... well maybe Id reserve some space on the wall for a photo of my other half, since it might be the only way I'd see him...

I'd have thought a nice neutral cream or something, so that it doesnt clash with anything you work on, and doesnt play around with the light too much.

I think SazuBMidlands has a real good idea to use something that doesn't clash with anything you are working on or doesn't play around with the lishting...

http://valsparatlowes.com/painter.html

this is a link to lowes paint selection tool. you pick a room and can select/modify paint colors to see what you like.

I find greens to be cool, calming and inspirational. There is a color called Crocodile Smile on the above site that is refreshing and energizing to me. I may have to repaint my sewing room! What a pain to get all that stuff back out!
