Default I GOT IT!!! My New Longarm is here!!!!

I got it!! Her name is Violet!!! I am so excited!! She is the Nolting 30 on a 12 foot frame. It has the Intellistitch IS Turbo CL stitch regulator. I got the one the large bobbin carrier. Now, all I have to do is learn how to run the thing. I don't see anything really fancy in the near future. I'm expecting a large learning time. I'd appreciate any input. So, far, my biggest problem is relaxing. I was so tense the first day, I got a headache. heheheh!!

Congrats, I am so jealous! I want a long arm but it is not in my budget, am saving up but it's going slow. Have fun with her.

How lovely! I just got mine this summer (an HQ Avante 18"). I think you are extremely brave to have that quilt on it already. It looks like you are doing motifs in each block - that's a great idea for getting used to the machine. I loaded some muslin and made 3 practice samplers before I dared put a real quilt on mine. Relax and practice - and have fun - is the best advice I can offer. Some large meanders might help you relax and get a better feel for the system, if you find you are still tense (trying to stay in little squares will definitely keep you tense).

Here's the trick, a glass of wine and some music. And don't forget to breathe! When I teach, I always have my students draw first. your doodles become your designs. Good luck and remember to have fun!
