I've used the pull-out nozzle one and got oil everywhere. This is the one I use now, and I LOVE it. It's very exact and you put only as much as you want in the machine.

speaking of oil, can the oil that is used to oil hair cutters and electric razors be used to oil sewing machines?
Sadly I just recently learned about removing the bobbin casing thing, and oiling the machine... but I do not have sewing machine oil and of course forgot to get some. I am sure tomorrow I will start sewing on my scrappy fence and want to make sure everything is in tip top shape and oiled... thanks for the help

Hardware stores used to carry little oilers with a long spout. My husband has an antique oiler with a trigger and a long, flexible spout. Now that I think about it, he may not have it much longer. 8-)
